The Origami

The Origami is a robust, flexible and relocatable unit that can be erected on site by unskilled labour in approximately 20 minutes; more rapidly than the erection of a large tent. Units have a strong steel frame and wall panels that can be adapted to meet specific local needs. The units are also able to be conjoined to make larger living areas and can be grouped in numbers to make common areas such as hospitals, places of worship, schools, administration areas and ablution blocks.
The key aspect of the Origami is that its structural steel frame, with insulated floors, walls and ceilings, will keep the unit cool in summer and warm in winter. The units fold flat for transportation and six units can be loaded ready for assembly in a single container unit. They can be configured as multiple units for larger family accommodation, churches, offices, mess halls, medical or surgical units, hospital wards and ablution blocks or for units to meet a specific need. We can develop specialist units that are sterile operating theatres, medical clinics or other specific fit-out requirements such as commercial or large-scale kitchens.
